Job Description Window Cleaning Technician - 28116 **Position Description**

If so, we are seeking a dedicated and professional window washer with integrity and attention to detail to join our growing Housekeeping Group.

The Window Cleaning Technician is primarily responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks of cleaning windows on APL campus and offsite-owned properties both on a routine and seasonal basis. Additionally, you will work closely with other Groups team members and provide assistance with window cleaning where applicable.

**As a Window Cleaning Technician you will...**

* Have the ability to work steadily for 8 hours/day, including tasks such as walking, standing, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and climbing.

* Clean the interior and exterior commercial windows using industry-standard methods and equipment.

* Power wash brick, siding, and concrete as needed

* Accurately use assistive equipment such as reach poles and ladders.

* Have the ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 40 pounds.

* Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round as needed

* Be able to work at heights and climb a ladder, and work at additional heights with the use of aerial lifts and other height assist equipment.

* Be able to understand verbal and written instructions in English.

* Be able to observe and implement all industry and worksite safety regulations and requirements, and perform all tasks in a safe manner.

* Be adept at establishing professional relationships with APL Partners and coworkers and timely resolution of challenges and conflicts as they occur.

* Have the ability to prioritize assigned tasks for completion, alone or with coworkers.

* Have the ability to problem-solve and envision all steps in assigned tasks.

Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

The work environment varies from day to day depending on the job site and includes outdoor and indoor work. Weather conditions will play a large part in the scheduling of work and in the staging of the job. This position handles exterior work and is frequently exposed to heat, cold, and inclement weather. Typically, work will continue in situations of mild weather such as light rain, snow, and/or wind. However, there will be occasions where some exterior work may not be feasible and interior work will need to be performed instead.

* Have a high school diploma or equivalent training and experience.

* Are able to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.

* Are able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long periods of time.

* Are able to follow verbal and written directions in English.

* Have customer service experience and a team work attitude.

* Possess 2 or more years' commerical window cleaning experience.

* You will use APL vehicles routinely to accomplish daily tasks. The selected candidate must possess a valid driver's license and will be subject to a motor vehicle record check.

* Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Physical demands - While performing the crucial duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb ladders, load and unload equipment, and safely drive the work vehicle. This position also requires walking around job sites, going up and downstairs and ladders, kneeling, bending, and reaching.

At times, this position is physically demanding and the ability to lift, move, pull and push equipment of at least 25 pounds is required.

Kinesthetic Awareness - in this role you must constantly be aware of your position and orientation amidst your physical surroundings. This includes an awareness of personal physical attributes such as balance, strength, endurance, and any limits therein.
