**Job Description**

The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties in support of various customers, including:

1. Pulling, staging and loading of material and equipment for delivery

2. Comparing paperwork against material and equipment being transported

3. Assisting with packing and shipping of material and equipment

4. Selecting the correct material handling equipment to perform tasking

5. Coordinating with peers and government project engineers on pick up and delivery material and equipment at off-site locations, to include, but not limited to Bath, ME; Pascagoula, MS; Charleston, SC; Norfolk, VA; Marlton, NJ; and Mayport, FL

6. Loading and unloading truck with or without assistance

7. Maintaining vehicles in good working order

8. Will be expected to effectively communicate with all levels of BAE Systems, Maritime Solutions staff, including; Engineering, Production, Testing, Administrative, and Project Management, as well as outside entities, such as government agencies, commands, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), etc.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $24.00.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

High School diploma and at least one year of related experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to pass a background check to gain access to all government sites/locations

Current CDL

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

Ability to operate a forklift

Class A license
