The Inspector is responsible for, but not limited to, the following job descriptions:
  • Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of such equipment.
  • Responsible to perform calculations relative to in-service deterioration, repairs, rerates, or alterations, such as those in the following, but not limited to:
    • Corrosion rates.
    • Weld joint quality and casting quality factors.
    • Joint efficiencies.
    • Static head pressure.
    • Internal pressure/minimum thickness of pipe.
    • External pressure.
    • Impact testing.
    • Nozzle reinforcement.
  • Assist in scheduling of activities related to inspection.
  • Adequately complete proper Company and client required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the reputation of the company and yourself.
  • Read and communicate Piping and Instrumentation drawing/diagrams for the execution of the project.
  • Sketch critical inspection areas on ISO drawings.
  • Perform manual film processing.
  • Provide non-destructive examination in the following methods:
    • Radiographic Examination.
    • Liquid Penetrant Examination.
    • Magnetic Particle Examination.
    • Ultrasonic Thickness measurements.
    • Positive Material Testing.
  • Required to establish and manage all safety procedures and functions throughout a project.
  • Able to train assistants efficiently in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and procedures.
  • Evaluate and interpret product results to the code of construction or customer specifications.
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude while on projects; and,
  • Any other assignment necessary to meet Level II responsibilities set forth by the Company.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e. ASME, API, AWS, etc.
  • Certificate holder of Level II Certifications in RT, MT, PT and UTT meeting a Company'sASNT-TC-1A training practice.
  • Active API certificate holder in one of the following or more: API 510, API 570, API 653.
  • Knowledgeable with OSHAs General and Construction safety industries.
  • Able to pass FBI and Company drug/alcohol testing.
  • Able to pass Fit for Duty testing; and,
  • Able to pass a motor vehicle check.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Active certification holder of API 510, 570 or 653 methods; and,
  • Certificate holder of Advanced NDT Service methods meeting Company's ASNT-TC-1A training practice.
