Job description

Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Manager, of our Physical Therapy services in Columbus, OH. The Manager of Physical Therapy serves the patients and Physicians of Central Ohio Primary Care by ensuring all COPC physical therapy clinics provide high-quality rehabilitation care. The Manager leads the overall mission and strategy of the department while maintaining oversight on the daily operations of the Physical Therapy department.

POSITION(S) SUPERVISED: Team Leads, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Patient Services Representative, Schedulers, Office Manager, Aides, Students, and Interns

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop department strategic initiatives to meet needs of COPC.
Provide supervision of daily performance of all Physical Therapy operations.
Communicate and direct staff to assist with meeting department goals and initiatives to achieve high quality patient care.
Collaborate with physician leadership to meet goals and objectives.
Review financial reports and budgets.
Responsible for assessing and making recommendations regarding staffing needs.
Collaborate with COPC Compliance to ensure clinical notes and billing meet legal and operational standards.
Ensure staff are properly trained in all areas of clinical care. Ensure all new hires have adequate training.
Mentor and develop staff to create future Physical Therapy leaders.
Ensure equipment maintenance is completed.
Recommend and validate request for capital purchases and additional resources for annual budgeting process.
Respond to Complaint Investigations as they pertain to all Physical Therapy staff.
Deal immediately and directly with any staff found to be non-compliant with company policies and procedures, by utilizing company's disciplinary protocol.
Assess physical therapy patient condition by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results. Determine physical therapy treatment goals and plan in consultation with physicians.
Monitor troubleshooting of day-to-day problems (examples: bedbugs, building management issues, equipment problems, etc.).
Respond to difficult customer service issues.
All other duties as requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education, Licensures & Certifications

Required: Physical Therapy or Physical Therapy Assistant Licensure
Required: 5+ years of clinical experience
Required: 3+ years of clinical leadership experience

B. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated experience working with P&L, budgeting, and financial decision-making.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with executive teams and physician leadership.
Demonstrated experience in operationalizing innovative workflows and schedules.
Experience working with Epic EHR.
Excellent communication skills including written and visual.
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong ability to work a flexible day including multiple locations.
Knowledge of patient rights and laws including HIPAA.
Strong knowledge of therapy billing codes.
Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example.
Ability to work on a team and promote a team environment.
Ability to function independently and manage time/work tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
