Position Description

Adena- General Trades Foreman

Summary:

The General Trades Foreman manages and controls the trade specific scope of services being provided by Adena Corporation for the projects assigned. The General Trades Foreman effectively enforces the company's policies, procedures, and safety standards, while meeting construction deadlines.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Completes safety planning and ensures safety awareness for the trade specific scope of the project being completed by Adena Corporation

Cognizant of other trades working on the project to make sure that other work does not in any way put Adena crews in harm's way

Completes routine project documents including daily work reports, weekly toolbox talks, and job hazard analysi

Tracks units put in place, crew size and productivity to ensure the project is meeting or exceeding bid time production rate

Reviews the project schedule on a regular basis to ensure that the project is on or ahead of schedule

Documents any schedule delays, safety concerns, detrimental site conditions or other issues that affect the ability to perform work in a safe and productive manner

Understands Adena's scope of work and reviews any "out of scope" work with the project manager before starting the work

Reviews manpower requirements and works with the manpower managers to assure appropriate personnel are on the project

Reviews equipment requirements and works with the equipment manager to assure the needed equipment is onsite

Facilitates daily coordination meeting with all trade

Manages quality of work put in place (both self-performed work and subcontractors)

Receives and reviews all material deliveries to make sure the delivery matches what is shown on the delivery ticket

Checks deliveries for possible damage and/or quality issues and reports to the appropriate department

Collects, organizes, and properly codes all delivery tickets and submits to project manager

Works with project manager to review job cost reports and control costs for the project

Maintains an up-to-date set of as-built document

Regularly communicates with the owner/client to confirm that the project is meeting owner's expectation

Coordinates the management of Adena's subcontractors with the project manager

Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment

Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Adena- General Trades Foreman

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

High School Diploma or GED required

Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform foreman dutie

30 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment

Ability to read building blueprint

Ability to read, follow, and provide input on a construction schedule

Thorough knowledge of Adena Corporation's safety plan and OSHA regulation

Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home

Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instruction

Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust

Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Excellent communication and negotiation skill

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to problem solve various situation
