** Furniture Delivery Driver Alexandria, Virginia, 22301, United States**

Weichert Corporate Housing is hiring a Furniture Delivery Driver. The Furniture Delivery Driver is responsible for safely driving the delivery truck to transport furniture and large appliances in accordance with established guidelines. The position also loads and unloads the truck and ensures the truck is properly maintained.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Safely drives truck to destination. Loads and oversees the loading of the truck while distributing weight evenly, forming compact load, and utilizing space appropriately. Checks products against manifest.

* Pulls furniture from warehouse racks and stages it for loading. Wraps furniture with blankets to prevent damage.

* Communicates arrivals, progress, and issues with Operations management. Notifies Operations Management about missing and/or damaged merchandise.

* Cleans and make minor repairs to furniture.

* Returns furniture to warehouse racks.

* Provides customers with friendly and professional service.

* Gives direction to moving helpers in moving and loading items.

* Responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of the truck. Conducts pre-use inspections and ensures the truck remains clean and organized.

* Maintains the security of the truck by locking the vehicle when not being loaded/unloaded.

**Requirements**

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

* High school diploma or GED

* Valid driver's license required

* CDL Class B license required

* No Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) violations within the past three (3) years

* Must be 21 years or older to comply with Weichert insurance requirements

* Three (3) to six (6) months of related driver experience preferred

* Previous furniture moving experience preferred

* Good oral communications skills

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong customer service skills
