Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering functions such as developing operational systems concepts, performing system trade studies, originating design concepts or performing systems level test and integration test for highly complex systems
- Design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
- Prepare designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems (e.g., a heating system in an office building, or new electronic components such as solid-state devices for instrumentation equipment)
- Plan approach to solve design problems
- Conceive and recommend new design techniques
- Resolve design problems with contract personnel, and assures compatibility of design with other parts of the system;
- Design and coordinates test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary design
- Use untried and untested measurement techniques; and improves the performance of the equipment.
- Arrange for fabrication of pilot models and determines test procedures and design of special test equipment.
- Capable of independently planning and accomplishing complete projects or studies of broad scope and complexity
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
- 12 years with degree/formal training or 14 years with HS/GED of practical experience
Skills:

- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
