Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support for the FCA field office to accomplish the FCA mission and vision and reflect the FCA Core Values in the ongoing work of that office.

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.

  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian CommunityStatement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for appointments/meetings with staff, ministry partners, vendors, etc.
  • Handles travel arrangements for assigned staff.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls and emails for area office.
  • Retrieves, opens, and distributes office mail.
  • Plans, organizes, and completes assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Manages development of resources and meets deadlines of assigned projects.
  • Coordinates donor ministry events, banquets, staff meetings, etc.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Consulting with Metro Director and Area Directors to identify goals and objectives.

Act as FCA's brand champion by infusing FCA's vision, mission, values, voice and persona in all content and audience engagement.

Produce and distribute valuable and on-brand content for Greater Fairfax FCA's, social and email communications.

Recommend and execute strategies for promotion of email and social content.

Manage FCA's social channels through content scheduling, calendar management, publishing, and social listening.

Manage social media conversations in a timely manner.

Develop and execute social media marketing strategy and implement it throughout the Greater Fairfax FCA area.

Assisting Admins and/or leading in planning and executing marketing.

Aware of social media trends, staying up to date on social media algorithm changes.

Develop strategies to reach objectives, and assess the outcome.

Study analytics of current platforms and campaign results, and report on effectiveness, key learnings, and opportunities for growth.

Help create unity across all Greater Fairfax Metro social media accounts.

Distribute organizational messaging.

Develop content off yearly FCA THEMES

Distribute content to staff.

Keep staff informed.

Work with interns to run digital summer projects, skills through continued learning.

Seek feedback from supervisor and other FCA staff to improve ministry effectiveness.

Maintain situational awareness of community social media accounts to include but not limited to local schools, sports programs, clubs, and ministries.

Donor Advancement: would be ask to consider raising 5% of budget.*

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience with social media, email, and web. (Email, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

Experience with social media advertising is a plus

Experience with audience targeting is a plus

Experience with email marketing

Experience optimizing for SEO is a plus

Be on social media - have at least one active account

Budget for social media tools

Passion for staying up to date on the latest strategies in web, email, and social content.

Strong communications and time management skills.

Photographer/videographer skills - a plus or willing to learn.

Comfortable using a graphic design program such as but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc. to create content.
