Responsibilities for Audit Senior
- Conduct desk reviews and various on-site audits
- Conduct research in order to determine billing and reimbursement compliance
- Conduct all phases of the audit including planning and research, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting of findings and other procedures, as required
- Review applicable Federal or State policies and regulations associated to each specific audit type prior to performing the audit
- Prepare working papers to document scope and findings of audit in accordance with government program regulations and AICPA standards
- Maintain thorough electronic documentation
Requirements for Audit Senior
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience
- CPA certification is not required, but it is preferred the candidate has passed some sections of the Exam and is actively working toward completion
- Demonstrated excellence in public accounting at the staff and senior levels or possess equivalent professional accomplishments and specialized knowledge/abilities
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting and process improvement
- Desire to learn and motivated to meet new challenges
