Job Title: Adaptive Fitness Specialist

Seeking FULL TIME & PART TIME adaptive fitness instructor

LCF KIDS, LLC is a therapeutic gym focusing on therapeutic exercise, weight management, physical education, social skills, adaptive physical education and athletic development. LCF KIDS provides services to children of all ages and all developmental levels.

The mission of LCF KIDS is to foster an environment for learning, developing social and physical skills, and enhancing creativity through personalized training programs, one-on-one sessions with qualified trainers, and therapeutic exercises. Our use of innovative equipment, sports therapy, and medically designed programs aids us in providing quality care for children.

Qualifications:

Candidate MUST have a degree OR Senior in adaptive physical education, recreational therapy of related field

Candidate MUST have experience working with special needs children

Candidate MUST be able to work on Saturdays or Sundays

Candidate MUST be able to pass a background check

Candidate MUST be enthusiastic and able to be active and engage with the children during sessions

Job Description:

As an adaptive fitness specialist the instructor will be:

Working primarily with children with varying levels of special needs such as Autism, Aspergers, ADD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, intellectual disabilities and behavior disorders, as well as with typically developing children with varying skill levels and challenges such as motor delays, and self esteem and weight management issues.

Organizing and preparing lesson plans based on each childs individual profile Teaching children how to improve gross motor skills including running, galloping, kicking, hopping, throwing and leaping

Teaching children how to develop motor planning and processing, motor and object control, balancing, and visual-spatial awareness skills; upper and lower body strength; and cardio-vascular fitness

Teaching and coaching physical and emotionally challenged children to cope with and overcome fears and insecurities

Teaching small group sessions to develop social and communication skills, teamwork, cooperation, and the ability to follow directions

Teaching the basic fundamentals of sports such as soccer, basketball, football and tennis etc. Using sports as a means of helping children build self-esteem, confidence, character and social skills

LCF Kids is a unified program that provides services to children of all ages and all developmental levels. We provide one-on-one therapeutic exercise, adaptive fitness, sport skills, fitness and personal training, bike and riding. We also provide group and social skills classes and open gym.
