Description:
Raytheon Technologies Cyber is looking for a software developer to advance several projects related to cyber security operations. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Python, MySQL, MongoDB, Docker, JavaScript and ThreatConnect.
This role will include work within Linux and should be adept at Linux-based Python development. Must be comfortable working with a geographically diverse team of cybersecurity professionals as well as in a remote/hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing our offerings in ThreatConnect to support the MDR teams
Develop in-house solutions and products to support the MDR teams
Requirements gathering, leading meetings, interfacing with other teams
Required Technical Skills and Experience:
Experience working in application development
Strong ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies
Understanding of the full lifecycle development process, including understanding business and functional requirements, developing technical designs, implementing scalable solutions, and object-oriented design and analysis
Entry-level knowledge of databases
Source control management tools, preferably Git
Desired Skills
Familiar with Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket, Bamboo)
Cybersecurity experience
API Development
Experience with standard debugging tools
Experience with Unit Tests
Performance Competencies (Non-Technical Skills):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Excellent detail-oriented, problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles and solutions
Dependability and commitment to projects/tasks
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field obtained within last 18 months or by July 2021
Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs
or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior
relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
