The Project Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating activities within the Installation group relating to Projects, Work Orders, and Change Orders to ensure the scope of work is met and delivered on time and within budget and the clients expectations have been met.

The Project Manager interacts directly with the client to ensure Kastle has a full understanding of the clients needs and expectations, that the client is fully educated on the solution being provided by Kastle, and that any on-site requirements of Kastle are communicated to the client to ensure a successful installation and system activation. Leading to and during the system installation, the Project Manager provides a single point of contact for building and/or tenant representatives and the installation team to ensure timely and accurate sharing of information to support smooth and efficient system installations.

Responsibilities:
  • RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiates and conducts the contract review and implementation process, and generates follow?up proposals and contract amendments as warranted
    • Initiates and conducts security system consultation and other services in response to customer requests
    • Attends all construction meetings as required for projects.
    • Must have project management experience with medium and large construction projects
    • Must be proficient reading and understanding architectural and electrical blueprints.
    • Knowledge of building and Life Safety codes required. Knowledge of NEC preferred.
    • Generates project schedules, provides progress reports on project status, and invoicing directions for accounting to ensure progress billing and final billing is performed on a timely basis
    • Manage project cost against budgets and ensure financial success of projects
    • Submits all required documents to the appropriate jurisdiction for permit and performs inspections during or after-hours.
    • Acts as project liaison between Kastle departments (Client Services, Data, Programming, Sales) and clients during implementation, effectively managing, coordinating, and communicating the needs and expectations of all stakeholders, through coordination and attendance at client /department meetings and briefings and/or phone calls and e-mails
    • Confers with Kastle departments, building and tenant representatives to discuss issues and facilitate solutions to eliminate delays, assesses progress and discusses needed changes
    • Regularly and consistently solicits feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes
    • Revises project schedules to determine personnel and materials requirements and priorities
    • Coordinates with Client Services for client training, leads project handoff and building walk-through and resolves any hand-off issues
    • Maintains complete documentation on the project directory and compiles a complete dossier of the project record for turn-over to Customer Service
    • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology as well as internal processes and procedures
    • An understanding of IT Networks and Systems, primarily for use with video camera networking/installation is helpful


Qualifications:
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors Degree preferred but not required
    • 3 or more years successful experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
    • Experience working on/at construction sites and scheduling/negotiating with General Contractors and Electrical Contractors
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and processes for providing project management support
    • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction

  • Open floor plans with ambient noise and activity consistent with office or call center work
  • Active construction sites and new locations
  • Travel by automobile, plane and other modes of public transportation
