**JOB Description**

**HR Manager / Safety Director**

MFM Building Products is a growing manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing membranes used in commercial and residential construction. The HR Manager is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the companys plans, programs, procedures, etc. and the support of the companys goals and aspirations. The Safety Manager is responsible to ensure the overall health and safety of all employees and visitors, protect company property and ensure overall security of the company. MFMs philosophy is to emphasize safety, quality, and production efficiency.

**Job description**

* Draft/Revise HR policies/programs to provide guidance and assistance for employee issues both professionally and personally.

* Draft/Revise safety policies/programs/procedures, implement the processes, train all affected employees and enforce any required discipline along with instructive/constructive counseling.

* Maintain and revise the Employee Handbook and supporting documents.

* Perform benefits administration including scheduling, preparing and assisting with employee educational sessions.

* Evaluate, schedule and assist with health benefits such as flu shots.

* Perform recruitment tasks for securing qualified personnel including advertising, interviewing, following up on details or securing missing information.

* Perform liaison tasks between the company and employees.

* Initiate the hiring process including job offer, pre-employment physical, pre-employment drug screen, background screening and any additional required processes.

* Provide new hire, contractor and contracted staffers with orientation and safety training.

* Create and revise job descriptions.

* Track, document and enforce any disciplinary issues including attendance, safety, quality of work, etc.

* Track, document and provide positive encouragement for employees / companys accomplishments.

* Complete and submit annual regulatory forms/documents.

* Provide critical HR statistics / information to the President of the company and regulatory agencies.

* Administer FMLA, disability, leaves of absence, bonuses, etc.

* Stay updated on, implement updates or revisions and provide training to all affected employees for regulatory compliance mandates. Enforce discipline, if necessary.

* Monitor/Control BWC and health related issues/claims to keep costs down and reduce injuries and illnesses.

* Provide assistance/control of outside agencies during inspections, etc.

* Oversee and manage drug free program.

* Evaluate, implement, monitor and enforce transitional work assignments.

* Oversee, edit, approve and release the timecard data for submission to payroll vender.

* Participate in the weekly staff meetings or all required sessions.

* Conduct monthly safety team meetings.

* Perform specific required training such as annual fire drills, etc.

* Perform/Evaluate all incidents/accidents/near misses and provide/implement corrective actions.

**Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

* Excellent analytical and puzzle solving skills

* Excellent computer and communication skills required

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer information systems

* Experience in HR, safety, environmental would be a plus

* Experience and ability to maintain / control confrontational issues
