Fire Alarm Account Manager - Tysons, VA

Job description

The Account Manager is responsible for the overall administration, organization and implementation of FA Service and small FA projects. Below are the main responsibilities:

  • Multiple accounts management
  • Service calls/Dispatching
  • Scheduling Subcontractors
  • Scheduling PMs
  • Scheduling Sprinkler Inspections
  • Billing & Collections
  • Customer Service
  • Estimating
  • Small project management
  • Contract management
  • Account/location/job set-up
  • Financial reporting
  • Procurement
  • Manpower management/scheduling and evaluation
  • Nicet II Certification


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Seven (7) to nine (9) yrs experience working with customer accounts; processing paperwork, maintaining data with a Bachelor's degree
  • 12with a High School Diploma
  • Preferable technical background
  • Effective communication skills; verbally and in writing
  • Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize, and accomplish work
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical and fire alarm industry
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources
  • Experience working with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications and change orders
  • Collections experience
  • Accounting/estimating experience
  • Experience working with contractors and writing proposals
  • Posses or successfully pass NICET I exam within 90 days of employment
  • Posses or successfully pass NICET II exam within 180 days of employment

Abilities
  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
