Front-End Engineer - Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Front-End Software Engineer will design and develop complex new software products, or make

significant enhancements to existing software. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with significant

experience in building modular, reusable components and features. They must have extensive, firsthand

technical expertise in a modern front-end framework. They must be at ease working in an Agile environment

with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.



QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical

discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

2. 8 to 10 years of related software development experience.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Extensive experience with Angular (or another modern front-end framework such as: React or Vue.js)

Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Experience designing complex search interfaces.

Experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability.

Experience with integrating with third party APIs.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Experience with Linux operating systems



DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Experience with SASS or LESS.

Hands-on experience working with NodeJS, MongoDB

Familiarity constructing ElasticSearch queries



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build reusable components that align with the system design patterns.

Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.

Participate in team design and code reviews.

Collaborate with a small team of engineers and designers to understand business requirements and

user experience goals.

Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.

Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software systems and application
