Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Description:
Supervises the work activities of the housekeepers & housemen to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
Typical Work Conditions:
Entire hotel
Equipment Used:
Carts, vacuum, wet and dry mops, various cleaners and cleaning tools but not limited to the above equipment.
Knowledge/Training:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2nd language desirable
- 3 years minimum housekeeping experience required.
Essential Tasks:
- Inspects rooms daily for cleanliness, neatness, appearance and wear and tear.
- Reports needed repairs according to procedures to supervisor and/or maintenance.
- Works closely with engineering and front office on out-of-order rooms
- To assist in the development and implementation of department programs, training, scheduling, supervision of housekeeping employees
- Reports lost and found articles to supervisor immediately, mails or properly stores items.
- Responsible for picking up "over" rooms at times when it becomes necessary.
