Job Description
Actively seeking a dedicated Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide critical support to our government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. As an ISSE with us, you'll play a pivotal role in assessing and enhancing the security posture of computing environments, ensuring compliance with Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and devising effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Clearance: Top Secret SCI Full Scope Polygraph Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Certifications: Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certifications

Experience:

  • Twenty (20) years of experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3.
  • Both Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certifications are required.
  • A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to eighteen (18) years of experience.
  • Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Validate and verify system security requirements, defining security designs.
  • Develop and integrate IA and security systems for various computing and networking environments, including those with differing data protection requirements.
  • Enforce security policies and contribute to building security architectures.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Apply expertise in system security engineering principles and practices.
