McKinley Marketing Partner's client is seeking an event and marketing manager to join their team. The manager will be responsible for managing and executing events, along with handling the marketing for events. The ideal candidate will have experience marketing for government, tech, or financial companies.

This position will operate on a hybrid schedule. Candidates must be able to commute to Alexandria, VA, and can attend in-person events.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and execution of events including overseeing event marketing and website development, registration, program development, logistics, speaker outreach, sponsor management, and more
• Execute marketing campaigns for events (i.e., email marketing, creating newsletters, managing social media campaigns, content marketing, etc.)
• Manage project management for events and ensure deadlines are met against project timelines
• Foster and build relationships with key stakeholders
• Manage event budgets
• Write and edit summary and recap reports for events
• Oversee execution of deliverables for event sponsors
• Coach and guide 1-2 direct reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Six to ten years of work experience with event marketing and event management
• Ability to track multiple projects/programs at once
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and execute events within budget
