RESPONSIBILITIES
Receptionist Receive incoming telephone calls, determine nature of business, and route to appropriate staff
Visitor Management Receive visitors, determine the nature of business, and escort them to appropriate staff
MailManagement Assist with receipt and distribution of incoming mail
Filing Create, tab, and file paper files, indexes, and other documents
Data Entry Perform data entry and typing
Office Technology Use office equipment like computers, fax, copier, scanner, mail equipment, etc.
Calendar Management Schedule telephone conference and in-person and video hearings
Case Processing Inquires Initiates inquiries about case processing
Judicial Inquiries Responds to appeal inquiries on behalf of the Administrative Judge (AJ) of the office
Customer Service Respond to public, appellants, etc. about potential, pending, and past appeals, procedures, etc.
EDUCATION
Preference for Bachelors degree
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
Preference for 4+ years of relevant experience
Strong preference for some legal experience
Basic knowledge of commonly used legal concepts, practices, and procedures
