How you'll make an impact:

The Manager, App Curation will be responsible for much of the day-to-day curation and editorial merchandising of the next generation SiriusXM app. The successful candidate will program the app to engage and delight our customers, helping them discover content through thoughtful packaging, promotion and editorial contextualizing. You'll be expected to make data-informed decisions, bringing your musical and pop cultural taste, digital background, and curatorial experience to bear as you determine what, where, when, and how a careful selection of the thousands of channels, shows, podcasts and video are highlighted and presented on our app. We're looking for someone with a broad knowledge of music, across multiple genres, as well as general entertainment, pop culture, news, comedy, podcasts and sports. The ideal candidate understands the drivers of each and how to engage their core audiences. You're able to creatively package and promote content through innovative customer-facing concepts, both in terms of content and structure, while keeping themed to both our customer's needs and our company's goals and strategies.

What you'll do:
  • This is a growing department with increasing responsibilities, and you'll need to manage a combination of short, medium, and long-term projects simultaneously. Some experience with social, brand, and digital marketing is a plus.
  • You stay on top of culturally relevant, timely, and topical events. You're able to effectively enroll teammates in your plans whether through an elevator pitch, a PowerPoint deck, or a detailed development meeting.
  • Curate a wealth of music, talk, sports, comedy, news, podcast and video content recommendations for a wide range of customer profiles and affinities, taking full advantage of personalization, targeted editorial and merchandising capabilities.
  • Update and maintain long-lead editorial calendar and coordinate cross-functionally such that what we're promoting in-app can be leveraged off-platform and in other marketing touches.
  • Serve as day-to-day liaison between performance marketing/digital subscriber growth teams such that we are nimble and reactive to what's driving new trialers into the app with respect to editorial choices.
  • Assist with A/B testing and general tracking needs as it relates to mapping analytics and learnings back to a promotional schedule.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in music and pop culture to identify editorial packaging opportunities in-app.
  • Develop innovative promotions, highlighting the elements that distinguish us.
  • Evaluate all upcoming on-air and on-platform promotions, shows, and episodes.
  • Mine our vast archives for hidden gems.

What you'll need:
  • 3-5 years of digital curation experience.
  • History of measurably successful creative campaigns
  • Advanced data literacy
  • Background in audience development
  • Deep and broad musical knowledge
  • Proven excellent judgement in applying currational guidelines to content
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and committed to excellence
  • Ability to work in a team environment and in person
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Content Management Systems
  • Experience with Tableau, Photoshop, and GTD systems
  • Must have legal right to work in US
