**Position Type**: Full-Time

**Location:** Annapolis Junction, MD

**Description:** The Backend Developer will be responsible for fixing, maintaining, supporting, and developing new features for a Django Python application, its ReST API, and a number of standalone applications which connect to it through a message queue.

** **Required:****

* Programming in Python

* Writing and deploying Django applications (specifically ReST implementation and running database migrations)

* Relational database management systems (preferably MariaDB/MySQL)

* Comfortable interfacing applications with a messaging queue (Tibco/RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ)

* Git/Jira/Confluence

* ELK Stack

**Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma/GED and twelve (12) years; or

* Associates Degree and ten (10) years; or

* Bachelor's Degree or higher and eight (8) years; or

* Master's Degree and six (6) years; or

* Doctorate and four (4) years
