The Role
We are seeking energetic and self-driven engineering technicians to join our team and work alongside our client in a dynamic work environment within their secure and unsecure facilities based at our largest Department of Defense Customer near Columbia, MD. This position will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of the client's Electrical SCADA System that monitors and controls electrical power across their local campus and enterprise sites around the globe. Candidates must be motivated, take initiative, customer-focused, strong attention to detail, successful at working as part of a team, and able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to be successful.

Your Impact
  • Assist project engineers in completing SCADA system database and display design packages.
  • Create and integrate SCADA databases and displays with field equipment on customer's systems.
  • Complete field testing of the SCADA System changes by supporting SCADA Point-to-Point and Commissioning events. Complete detailed record keeping to track successful testing, identification of issues, and document troubleshooting steps completed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and communication issues in a real-time environment.
  • Responsibilities are similar to many HVAC, PLC, building automation and industrial control systems disciplines.


What You'll Need
  • 5 years of field or service experience in a related discipline.
  • Associates Degree in Building Automation Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Technology, or other technical focus from an accredited college or 5 years working in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC or SCADA controls software systems (i.e. programming and installing a direct digital control, creating system graphics, etc.).
  • Evaluate and follow electrical onelines and/or blueprints.
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some knowledge of electric utilities, power systems, communications, control systems and/or networking.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.


Other requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a Government Clearance.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites for field work.
