We are currently seeking a Director of Project Management for a growing
premier building envelope solutions provider in Laurel, MD.

Role and Responsibilities




  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and ensures project schedules and operational milestones are accomplished.

  • Lead a team of project managers and enforce processes to ensure all team members are tracking, reporting, and managing projects accurately and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with Director of Construction on production schedule and assigns crews, subcontractors, and other project teams to projects based on availabilities, strengths, and competencies.

  • Pre-plans and contributes to the overall development of projects and company operations.

  • Reviews contracts and facilitates discovery and correction of contract documents, errors, or omissions.

  • Takes lead on productivity issues and monitors work performance and efficiency of company employees in the office to ensure project plans and schedules are followed and project is executed efficiently and safely.

  • Tracks and reports monthly billings directly to the company Vice President of Operations.

  • Records jobsite activities and updates in Company platform.

  • Handles contractual delays, work interference, schedule issues, while circumventing and resolving conflicts.

  • Expands and updates professional knowledge and skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

  • Project financials and provide forecast to leadership teams.

  • Perform independent takeoffs for projects during the pre-construction phase to establish budgets.

  • Manage and track all RFI's, submittals, and change orders through the entire duration of each project.

  • Procure materials and issue purchase orders.

  • Manage numerous projects of different sizes and complexity.

  • Schedule and manage material deliveries, staging and phasing of projects with Superintendents.

  • Manage all phases of project to include; Pre-construction, construction, and close-out phases.

  • Provide operational direction, leadership, and accountability in the field and office.

  • Track and report work progress and percentage of completion on all projects.

  • Manage job profit gain/fade by identifying and adapting for unforeseen production issues.

  • Assist leadership team in identifying excellent and poor performance.

  • Assist PMs resolve disputes with clients and past due accounts efficiently.

  • Lead in job completion financial analysis.



Qualifications and Education Requirements


Proven track record of leading a team of project managers, comprehensive understanding of Construction (Prime & Sub-contract Agreements), comprehension of construction documents (Drawings & Specifications), experience creating submittals, creating Supervisor's manuals, purchasing & receiving materials, cost controlling, change order management, issuing and filing for warranties, and composing construction project closeout submittals; Commercial roofing knowledge and experience in single-ply, asphalt, cold-applied, hot-applied, and metal products.

Preferred Skills


Edge Estimating Software (Reviewer), MS Project Outlook, Smart-Sheet, Procore, Ability to analyze specifications and blueprints, High level of written and verbal communication skills, clear communicator, critical thinker.
