Position Details:
Title: Electrical Field Service Tech
Location: Crofton, MD Office (covers Maryland/DC/and Virginia)
Shift: Normal Day Shift
Compensation: $34-50/hr base (or more for NETA qualified technicians), plus OT & Bonus First Year W2 = $80-105K first year
Overtime : Overtime paid out at 1.5x after 8 hours in a single day. Saturdays are paid out at 1.5x as overtime. Sundays and Holidays are paid out as double time.

Travel: In this position, you will service numerous customers within the region, occasional overnight travel (less than 20%)

Position Description:
Company is looking for experienced industrial electricians with 5 - 10 years of expertise in testing and maintenance on Industrial Electrical Equipment to include switchgear, breakers, transformers, and protective relays. They are looking for candidates with experiences with most of the following: switchgear, protective relays, protective relay calibration, transformer maintenance and testing, "Doble Testing", high voltage maintenance, field engineer & design background, SF6 breaker experience, etc.

Requirements:
Ability to perform acceptance and maintenance testing on low and medium voltage switchgear, low and medium voltage circuit breakers, instrument transformers, protective relays, automatic transfer switches, motor control centers, dry type and liquid filled transformers, ground systems, etc. All testing is performed per NETA standards.
Ability to operate various testing tools and equipment including megger, digital multimeter, Hipot tester, multiamps relay tester, GFI, TTR, primary and secondary injection set, etc.
Document services by maintaining records and writing technical reports detailing field work performed.
Ability to read and interpret electrical control schematics and diagrams.
Fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical testing procedures.
Familiarity with electrical test equipment and fundamentals.
Experience in performing extensive testing, problem identification, and troubleshooting.
Experience with inspecting and servicing transformers, switchgear, and relays.
Strong background in troubleshooting and performing start-up service.
The ability to evaluate the operating condition of equipment.
Computer literacy and the ability to generate detailed reports.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
NETA level II, III, or IV Certification preferred.
5% Target Bonus Plan.
