Tennis Shop Manager
Position: Tennis Shop Manager
Reports to: Director of Tennis
Department: Racquet Sports
As a Tennis Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all phases of Tennis Pro Shop and related administrative work are performed in a timely and professional manner. Assist members with making appointments, retail sales, inventory and assisting tennis professionals and members as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greets all Members and guests with the "Warm Columbia Welcome" and respond to all inquiries as they enter the Tennis Pro Shop.
Oversees the Tennis Pro Shop and administrative assistants.
Ensures all daily tasks are completed during the appropriate shifts.
Answer phone calls with a positive and energetic demeanor.
Respond to emails, voicemails related to racquet sports..
Provide Members and guests with appropriate court assignments.
Be knowledgeable and informed of all tennis programs, services, hours of operation, and related policies.
Resolve questions and service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
Ensure the Tennis Pro Shop and related Member areas are clean, organized, and stocked as needed throughout the day.
Assists in maintaining an accurate record of all programs including lessons, clinics, camps, events, and tournaments.
Executes accurate Tennis, Paddle, and related charges.
Assists in helping the Director of Tennis and Head Pro's with all event related details.
Manage the Clubs Indoor Tennis and Paddle Reservation System. Ensure reservations are accurate and that all Members and guests are properly checked in and recorded.
Assist in responding to emergencies and help coordinate emergency response information to staff, Members, and management.
Availability:
Full Time Hours
Evening and weekend hours available
Skills Required:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills (Hospitality experience a plus.)
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
General knowledge of the game of tennis preferred, but not required.
