The Professional Division of Spherion Mid-Ohio is partnered with an established and growing construction company in Columbus, OH is seeking Carpenters with pay up to $27 an hour + Bonus based on skill set & experience. Come join their team!

What will the Carpenters do? provide professional services in constructing, repairing building frameworks and structures, and detailed interior finishing.
Responsibilities of the Carpenter:
- Installs door, frames, and hardware
- Forms and pours concrete
- Lays out and frames walls with wood or metal studs
- Hangs and finishes drywall
- Installs wall protection including FRP board , crash rails, corner guards, etc.
- Installs acoustic ceilings
- Installs cabinets, trim and other finish carpentry
- Lays out and installs in-wall blocking
- Installs roof blocking
- Hangs toilet partitions and installs restroom accessories
- Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Appropriate education or a combination of experience and training that equips an individual with the necessary skills, knowledge, and qualities to effectively perform carpentry tasks.
- Solid understanding of techniques, materials, tools, and equipment, including their safe usage
- Strong math skills necessary for carpentry are required
- Ability to read blueprints is required
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may at times require overnight stays away from home
- Excellent work ethic and attendance is required
- Can work at heights, including on scaffolding and ladders, without fear
- Capable of regularly working in outdoor weather conditions that may be wet, hot, humid, or freezing, and dealing with dirt and dust
- Able to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen for employment
