Senior Contracts Manager

Job description

**Overview**The Senior Contracts Manager role is responsible for leading internal and external activities in connection with contracts. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts; meeting with internal stakeholders on business objectives and determining appropriate supporting contractual terms; negotiating with customers and vendors on contractual matters; providing guidance and support to internal staff on contractual issues and questions; developing and executing policies and procedures that will result in effective management of all aspects of contractual agreements; working with management to address issues and concerns and making recommendations.**Responsibilities**+ Leads contract negotiations with customers and vendors, senior management, attorneys and other business and legal professionals+ Leads drafting process for customer and vendor agreements, including for Master Agreements, Statements of Work, License Agreements, and other select contractual agreements+ Provides guidance to internal staff on contractual matters+ Oversees the contract administration process, including managing all contract events such as contract approval, renewals and contract changes. Initiates the review, drafting, negotiation and execution of agreements.+ Evaluates risk related to contractual language and business objectives and develops solutions, working independently and with others, that supports the company direction+ Works with business leadership to effectively convey business objectives in contractual language+ Communicates contract changes, key terms, activity and potential implications to various business areas via contract summaries or other methods+ Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with business leaders to ensure they are receiving the deliverables and/or SLAs specified in the agreements+ Participates in the contract management workgroup contributing to the establishment of strategies, policies, procedures, tools, etc. that result in effective management of all aspects of the contractual agreements**Qualifications****Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**+ Knowledge of commonly used contractual provisions and general contract structures related to information technology and associated legal terms+ Ability to effectively provide substantive guidance to business leaders on contractual terms and issues+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate internally and externally at high levels; strong writing skills and attention to detail+ Proficient computer skills with intermediate level working experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint+ Excellent analytical skills in order to analyze contractual agreements for corporate impact+ Must have or acquire in depth knowledge of organizations policies, organizational relationships and procedures, and acquire a working knowledge of company products and services+ Ability to identify legal issues and escalate them as appropriate to the relevant individual or attorney**Experience:**+ Up to 10 years related work experience, including significant experience working with contracts+ Healthcare experience preferred**Required Training, Certification and Education:**+ Juris Doctor+ Currently licensed to practice law**Benefits and Perks:**+ Work/Life Balance NASCO helps you find success at the workplace, and at home.+ Matching 401(k)+ Employee Recognition and Bonus Programs When NASCO is successful so are our employees!+ Tuition Assistance Learn, develop, and grow on our dime!+ E-Learning Comprehensive and current library of e-learning and performance support assets, available on demand and at no cost.+ Choice of Blue Cross Blue Shield Health, Dental and Vision Plans+ Wellness Program+ 17 Days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year not including major holidays.
