All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered.Job SummarySummary: As a Patient Observation Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of a team within a hospital setting.Key Responsibilities:Orients, trains, and develops all levels of personnel such as; patient observation attendants, dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, and driversAssists in coordination of Patient Observation activities and services with other departmentsAbility to understand and apply knowledge of basic patient observation concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanicsMaintains a collaborative environment of highly motivated associatesUnderstands and able to determine, explain, and develop dispatcher logic, patient observation and transporter activities; monitor and supervise dispatcher activityAssists unit director in achieving financial objectives; ensures department operates within budget; assists controlling departmental expensesEnsures proper operation of software programs, page and phone handling systems within the departmentEnsures compliance with all regulatory agencies including but not limited to Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDCManagement of patient observation add-on services such as, but not limited to; patient observation, lift, courier, valet or shuttle, where applicable.Preferred Qualifications:Two-year college degree or equal-related experience preferredManagement experience in hospital environment and/or patient observation/transportation highly desiredEffective organizational and time management skillsAnalytical ability to interpret statistical data and to distinguish trends and other factors that impact operational activityExcellent judgment skills for problem solving of performance of associates', the coordination of hospital activities, and enforcement of policies in stressful situationsExcellent interpersonal skills necessary; ability to interact with a wide range of staff and hospital personnel in a professional manner; customer service skills must be strong, genuine and noticeableEffective verbal, listening and written communication skillsAdvanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookApply to Crothall todayCrothall is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
