Introduction:

Our client seeks a Systems Architect for a long-term program supporting an IC customer in McLean, VA. This position requires an active TS/SCI full-scope polygraph clearance.

The Systems Architect will maintain and enhance the performance of the Customer's network, software, and related standalone workstations and laptops. This includes regular maintenance, updating hardware and software, and exporting data from the system in a customer-accepted format. The position is part of a team of 5 and requires active support for the current network and software.

Requirements:
  1. Demonstrated experience with systems architecture and design, including project plans, costs, and schedules.
  2. Demonstrated on-the-job experience presenting management with system architecture and design choices, including risk management assessments and recommendations.
  3. Demonstrated understanding of databases, servers, and other system infrastructure, including network switches, routers, workstations, and standalone systems.
  4. Demonstrated experience programming in Smalltalk, Python, and Objective-C.
  5. Demonstrated experience and proficiency with version control systems, such as Git.
  6. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with SQL databases.
  7. Demonstrated experience applying quality assurance and configuration management best practices.
  8. Demonstrated experience evaluating new hardware or software to provide recommendations for procurement.
  9. Demonstrated experience recommending process changes to improve efficiency.
  10. Demonstrated experience ensuring component compatibility.

Nice to Have:
  1. Demonstrated experience providing technical consultations to Customers.
  2. Demonstrated experience with security accreditation practices and procedures and conducting assessments of existing Customer stand-alone networks.
  3. Demonstrated experience deploying and implementing cloud solutions, services, and concepts of cloud architectures.
  4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Customer security and accreditation systems.
  5. Demonstrated experience programming in Java and C++.
  6. Demonstrated experience programming Android and iOS-compatible applications.
  7. Demonstrated experience developing multi-user GUI-based applications and databases for Mac OS environments.
