Indirect Category Specialist IT

Location: Baltimore County

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 plus bonus

Company Profile: One of the leading Food/CPG companies in the world is looking for an Indirect Category Specialist. This person will be responsible for leading the negotiation and contracting of IT equipment, software, hardware, and services. This person s focus will focus be on managing the relationships between vendors and suppliers. You will expand the scope of cost savings initiatives, operations, project management, and continuous improvement while strategically identifying sourcing opportunities across the network and drive savings across the IT category. The Indirect Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the following:

• Management of Procurement for their categories globally
• Lead the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO
• Develops and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers
• Participates in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs
• Lead cross functional teams to meet project objectives

The Indirect Procurement Specialist should have the following qualifications:

• MBA preferred, Bachelor s degree necessary (preferably in Supply Chain, Procurement, IT)
• 3+ years of experience in procurement within IT
• Project management experience is a plus
• Proven experience and results on major cost savings initiatives.

This is a full-time hybrid position in Baltimore County, MD
