Sr. Project Scheduler

Hybrid (Ashburn, VA)

6 Month Contract

$55+/hr. DOE

We are hiring a Senior Project Scheduler to join the Work and Asset Management PMO (Project Management Office) team at one of our largest Fortune 50 clients in the Northern VA area. Brooksource is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to oversee the scheduling and planning efforts within our client's Data Center (DC) upgrade project. As a key member of the Engineering and Facilities team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the project schedule for the data center build-out and associated resources required.


You will also have the opportunity to work in the world-class mechanical and electrical infrastructure our client offers, ensuring facility operations, and implementing safety procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Communications, Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field; OR equivalent experience.
  • 6-8 yrs. of experience in a project support, project scheduling or project management role.
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Projects and/or MPP.
  • Professional experience with Primavera P6.
  • Professional experience with project controls and schedule management.
  • Experience with document management, coordinating schedules and reporting.
  • Knowledge of project management lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and written/verbal communication.
  • Independent worker with positive and inclusive attitude.
  • Ability to take initiative with minimal supervision.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tool is a plus!
  • CAPM, CSM, PMP or similar certification is a plus!

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide quality assurance to existing schedules for projects in PMO.
  • Support operational goals for large projects by tracking milestones, timelines and project controls.
  • Using Microsoft Project Plan (MPP), extract data and reports for data visuals and project tracking.
  • Using Microsoft Projects, manage project schedules surrounding all phases of design, build, test and development.
  • Manage project controls (including but not limited to: issues, risks and action items).
  • Analyze project best practices to ensure all projects are in compliance.
  • Understand Project Management disciplines.
  • Create and socialize documentation, when needed.
  • Tracking and coordination of attendees in meetings.
  • Logistics assistance.
