Senior Electrical Design Engineer


The Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializes in designing and developing small and large-scale electrical systems and structures. This role must identify and meet the needs of clients or companies, produce and present drafts and diagrams, manage budgets and schedules, and establish guidelines for a smooth and safe workflow.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans and work schedules.
  • Lead capital electrical infrastructure projects to replace aging or obsolete equipment.
  • Be the Liaison with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
  • Review product requirements with product development compatibility of processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
  • Draw up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
  • Analyze existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct research, perform diagnostics, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and onboarding.
  • Ensure that EH&S standards are adhered to in the application of new products or modification of existing products.
  • Troubleshoot significant processing issues and incidents where electrical designs are involved.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Extensive practical experience.
  • Additional license or certification may be required.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Practical experience with CAD software.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification (preferred), with solid statistical analysis and problem-solving expertise
  • SAP requisition experience (or comparable ERP knowledge)
  • 2D and 3D CAD Drawing Experience (AutoCAD and Solidworks)

  • Senior Electrical Engineer
  • Reports to the Senior Manager of Global Operations
  • Operations team, Procurement, Continuous Improvement, NPI


Travel Requirements:

  • 10-25% within Ohio


The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will earn a variable compensation including base salary and bonus. Base salary range takes into consideration experience, education, and training. Not to mention all the amazing benefits available for employee selection as well.
