Paul Davis Automation is an established and highly regarded manufacturer's representative firm focused on developing business for motion control and other high tech industrial automation products in our region. In business since 1989, we represent a complement of world class manufacturers and enjoy close, long term relationships with our manufacturers, distributor partners, and customers.

We are currently looking to add a sales engineer in our Western Ohio territory. Ideally, the candidate will live in the Western portion of Ohio, near the I-75 corridor.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow business with our OEM/Integrator customer base in the region
• Work closely with, nurture, and grow business with our valued industrial distributors
• Provide technical support when needed
• Proactive, weekly travel to visit regional customers and engage in joint sales calls and regional trade shows with distribution
• Occasional (no more than 3-4 times a year) travel out of the region for national trade shows and manufacturer training events
• Develop rapport and trust with our manufacturer partners by inviting them into your territory for joint sales calls, training, and distributor visits.

Qualifications

• A strong ethical grounding - our brand is built on honesty and ethical business dealings
• Bachelor's degree
• An engineering/technical degree is desirable but not necessary - a strong technical acumen and a desire to learn are just as desirable or better.
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Interpersonal skills
• Willingness to regularly travel to customers located in a 4 hour driving radius
