Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred
8-10 years of experience in a similar role within the Startup, Fintech and ideally the Crypto industry in Africa
Experience in banking operations in a prominent finance firm
Prior experience working with startups in Africa
Experience in executing OTC trades, managing associated risks, and optimising trading strategies
MUST be based in Africa but should possess prior work experience overseas, particularly at esteemed financial institutions
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing environments
Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements
Oversee risk management processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing effective risk mitigation measures
Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making
Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance the companys commercial capabilities and market presence
Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
