A client of ours in Rockville, MD is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a Contract to Hire opportunity.

Description:

As a DevOps Engineer you will be a key member of a team that is dedicated to securely and efficiently delivering the tools our clients need to support their efforts towards improving healthcare. You are a highly motivated self-starter with experience supporting configuration management for custom .NET applications deployed in a Windows Environment.Experience with CI/CD and security and compliance automation are desired.

Responsibilities

Assist in design, development, and implementation of DevOps practices, tools, and processesEnsure DevOps processes are documented and followed across the programsDefine release package design, build configuration, and method of deploymentCommunicate effectively with internal program staff and external stakeholders in changes and releasesMaintain unified change/release calendar; initiate new IT Change RequirementsInstallations, configurations and implementations of off-the-shelf software/applicationsMaintaining Windows servers and provide infrastructure support for .NET applicationsBring vision and strategy for future technologies and processes while managing the ongoing application and infrastructure needsBe adept in coding and scripting, thoroughly understand basic programming languages.Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologiesPlan, design and develop the cloud infrastructure and implement cloud-based solutionsHave the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.Maintaining, review and update validation documentation, and understand the validation Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).Compile reports and contributing to internal audits and external inspections as they arise.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience10+ years of relevant professional experienceStrong experience in writing PowerShell scripts for deployment automation.Working experience with Install Shield Projects.Understanding of the ASP.NET Build and deployment modelUnderstanding of npm packagesWorking knowledge of Microsoft IIS and Application ServersExperience in developing Automated builds and deployment using Azure DevOpsStrong incident/problem resolution, troubleshooting, and QA skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsResilient, agile nature with excellent organizational ability to prioritize your workload to meet deadlines and deliver in a constantly changing environment.Proven problem-solving and leadership skills.Experience in deployment and managing systems on AzureGood understanding of Azure deployment servicesExperience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, GitHub

Preferred Education And/or Experience

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint ServerExperience in government healthcare programsExperience in deploying and configuring Solr & Tableau serversExperience in computer system validation documentation
