Job description

We have a potential need for Performance Assessment and Chemical Evaluation Research Support to support our government customer located in Silver Spring, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct all aspects of scientific research experiments according to individual reviewed protocols.
  • Communicate and correspond with lead investigator(s) regarding experimental procedures, study progress, concerns about the study, and changes in procedure on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Perform routine and specialized behavior tests and procedures on animals and humans.
  • Maintain and update all applicable regulatory files and documentation for all regulatory guidelines for human and animal research, including appropriate institutional guidelines, protocols, approvals, amendments, modification, etc., as well as any communications with the sponsor or any other Federal or regulatory office as needed.
  • Relevant Experience to include:
    • Laboratory Research Associate
    • Animal Behavior Research Assistant
    • Clinical Research Coordinator I & II


Requirements
  • Personnel will be qualified by appropriate education, recent and relevant experience, and certification for the designated services.
  • Must have the ability to survey and summarize the research literature, organize, and analyze data using appropriate data management and statistical approaches, and write for technical, lay and/or professional scientific audiences.
  • Must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities in multiple Behavioral Biology research domains, including but not limited to sleep, PTSD, personality, combat stress, psychological resilience, cognitive performance, pharmacology, neuroscience, and psychological distress.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to advise and guide senior civilian and military leadership in the development of strategic research efforts and program.
  • Must be knowledgeable of general rodent husbandry practices and animal welfare requirements.


Citizenship and Clearance Requirements
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must hold a minimum DoD Clearance level of Public Trust, with ability to obtain Secret
