We d love for you to join our team!Job SummaryB&A is looking for a DevOps Configuration Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the United States Customs and Border Protection.ResponsibilitiesConfiguration Management:

Implement and maintain robust configuration management processes in alignment with industry best practices.Ensure adherence to configuration management principles throughout the development, testing, and deployment lifecycle.Facilitate the identification, documentation, and control of configuration items within our IT environment.

Audit and Compliance:

Develop and maintain comprehensive audit procedures to validate adherence to configuration management standards.Collaborate with internal audit teams to address any compliance issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.Regularly review and update configuration management documentation to reflect current practices and procedures.

Technical Expertise:

Utilize scripting languages and database technologies to automate configuration management tasks and streamline workflows.Demonstrate proficiency in writing and understanding SQL queries to extract and manipulate data as required.Possess a basic understanding of software development processes, enabling effective collaboration with development teams.Leverage GitLab or Git repositories for version control and collaboration purposes.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify configuration needs, and implement solutions.Act as a liaison between development, operations, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of configuration management practices.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on configuration management activities, status, and potential issues.

Stay abreast of advancements in cloud technologies and incorporate relevant tools and services into configuration management processes.Utilize cloud platforms to enhance scalability, reliability, and flexibility of configuration management solutions.Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.4+ years of work experience.Required Skills

Experience with SDLC and DevOps principles.Well organized: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.Process-oriented: Strong focus on developing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reliability.Collaborative: Thrives in a team-oriented environment, actively engaging with colleagues to achieve shared goals.Desired Skills

Advanced proficiency in scripting languages and database technologies for enhanced automation capabilities.Experience with advanced software development methodologies and practices.In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with configuration management processes.Security Clearance
