Job description

Job Summary:

This role entails overseeing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, ensuring adherence to company policies, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, and streamlining operations to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, boost productivity, and manage expenses effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manage resources to achieve production, safety, and quality targets.

2. Develop and mentor shift supervisors and department leads.

3. Identify skill gaps and provide/recommend training to ensure staff proficiency in procedures, policies, and plant objectives.

4. Supervise all production activities to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.

5. Ensure plant safety and actively participate in safety programs.

6. Address daily operational and personnel issues, such as quality concerns, equipment downtime, labor shortages, and material availability.

7. Foster effective communication among departments, shifts, and employees through regular updates.

8. Participate in the hiring, disciplinary, and termination processes.

9. Resolve employee morale issues and administer company policies consistently.

10. Design efficient and sustainable processes for material flow, resource allocation, and value creation to meet objectives.

11. Implement new processes across the plant, train supervisors and leaders, and develop training materials.

12. Evaluate process performance at both micro and macro levels using measured data.

13. Continuously improve process performance based on data analysis.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or related field required; relevant experience preferred.

- 7-10 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to grasp new information quickly and effectively.

- Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrates excellent judgment, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.

- Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and testing.

- Keeps abreast of professional literature to apply current best practices to production challenges.

- Understands quantitative enterprise goals for quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
