Role Overview:

The Data Center Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our technological infrastructure. This individual will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Responsible for all help desk, network, telephony, and colocation across the global operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain network equipment within the data center, ensuring optimal network performance and uptime.
  • Manage and maintain physical server infrastructure, including rack and power configurations, cabling, and troubleshooting hardware issues.
  • Implement and administer VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and application deployment.
  • Enforce strict physical security protocols within the data center, including access control and environmental monitoring.
  • Implement and maintain robust IT security practices to safeguard data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Monitor data center performance metrics and proactively identify potential issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on all data center equipment.
  • Participate in data center capacity planning and scaling initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data center technologies and best practices.
  • Document data center procedures and maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Collaborate effectively with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data center environment.


  • Proven experience with network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of server administration, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware technologies for server virtualization.
  • Working experience with physical security measures and access control systems.
  • Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$92,330.00-149,352.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
