The School:
Located six miles from Washington, D.C., St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School, a JK-12 Episcopal School, educates the whole child by tending to the academic, social, physical, and spiritual needs of each of our students. The Opportunity:

The Admission Office of St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School seeks a full-time, 10 month support staff member to join its team on the Lower School campus. This position is the first, important contact for families as the initial face and voice of the Lower School Admission Office and functions as the office manager. The Admission Assistant also provides administrative support to the Director of Lower School Admission and the Dean of Enrollment. This position works closely with the Database Manager and Operations Manager, as well as the admission team members on other campuses.

Strong interpersonal skills: warmth, empathy and a high level of customer service

Collaborative team player who also works well unsupervised and takes initiative

Excellent, accurate communication skills, in person and in writing

Technologically comfortable with capacity for learning and growth
What will you Do?
  • Provide administrative support to the Dean of Enrollment & Strategic Marketing
  • Answer phone and email; proactively call and email to follow up
  • Support families through the admission process
  • Welcome and greet families and visitors, offer beverages
  • Schedule appointments and provide assistance to the Director of Lower School Admission
  • Attend weekly admission team meetings and office retreats
  • Work closely with and schedule volunteer parent tour guides
  • Document management: download, upload, attach, scan
  • Data entry and review
  • Mailings, big and small: organizing, printing, stuffing
  • Event support: nametags, supplies, lifting, hauling, carrying
  • Maintain office: order supplies, issue maintenance requests, place catering orders for events
  • Attend weekend and evening events as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience in a highly-driven, goal-oriented office environment
  • Evidence of exceptional customer service
  • Database (preferably CRM) skills and knowledge
Terms
  • Full time work begins August 19, 2024
  • Hours: 8 am - 4 pm; Monday - Friday
  • Limited, compensated, overtime: Evenings: 5 Saturdays (October to March); Afternoons: 3 - 5 Sundays
