What you will do:
The Rail Maintenance Supervisor independently supervises Maintenance Department personnel (Maintenance Technicians) and their associated duties and responsibilities. Includes supervising the overall inspections/maintenance of the streetcar. The Rail Maintenance Supervisor assures that the maintenance activities are carried out safely, effectively, and efficiently in order to consistently provide timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation to the public. This position performs related work as required. The Rail Maintenance Supervisor reports directly to the Maintenance Director.

Develop contingency plans for unforeseen situations and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Perform inspections, analyze findings, and communicate effectively.
Efficiently manage maintenance projects within schedule and budget.
Identify and rectify safety hazards promptly.
Coordinate contracted efforts, oversee progress, and accept/reject work performance.
Provide guidance to Maintenance Technicians and Service Attendants.
Monitor productivity and quality of maintenance personnel.
Maintain accurate records of work hours and tasks.
Enforce departmental policies, administer safety programs, and operate maintenance equipment as needed.
How you will grab our attention:
Associates/Vocational Training Cert in Electrical/Electronic Technical Field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years in Transit Rail System.
Demonstrated supervisory or lead experience in a comparable transit or transportation industry, overseeing related personnel.
Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in maintenance repair, troubleshooting, and system overhaul.
Ability to analyze malfunctions and determine repairs.
Accurate record-keeping and use of test equipment.
Capability to provide technical training and guidance.
Effective in establishing and maintaining good working relationships.
Able to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of electric/mechanical maintenance safety practices.
Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and electrical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and schematics.
Ability to pass a drug screening, DOT physical examination and background check.
