**Responsibilities:**

* Oversee the planning and design development process for compliance with agencies requirements.

* Assist in coordinating design process across agency in-house and contracted stakeholders

* Perform Design Reviews for contract compliance, assist with risk mitigation, perform schedule control, and communicate programs status of design/construction issues impacting the outcome of project goals and objectives

* Perform, coordinate, and/or oversee daily design and project management activities during the initial design phase through final close out of occupied buildings in excess of 2,500,000 sf.

* Confer with agency staff (and designated Architecture/Design (A/D) representatives) to determine aesthetic preferences and furniture to be installed.

* Facilitate internal design coordination and review meetings with agency and other project stakeholders for agency generated design submissions. Integrate findings with knowledge of interior design and formulate environmental plans and compile into a comprehensive interior design (CID) package.

* Assist agency with the management of all program contract design submission reviews, including design submissions and ancillary documentation produced by others as well as Census contractors and in- house stakeholders where there is necessarily a coordination of design requirements across multiple contracts (e.g.: IT infrastructure integrated with workspace furniture).

* Ensure that all agency contract deliverables are received on time and in the formats prescribed by each contract.

* Facilitate internal design coordination and review meetings with agency stakeholders (and the GSA team, if agency should choose to include GSA) for agency generated design submissions.

* Participate in all GSA DB design review meetings.

* Collect, prepare and submit comments for every program contract design submission.

* Proactively assist agency with the timely collection of comments in order to limit any potential Government-caused delay exposure.

* Consolidate and track all design comments for each submission

* Identify and clarify any conflicting design review comments with agency stakeholders.

* Manage the resolution of all comments to agency design deliverables.

* Develop and maintain comment sheets and create and maintain a master database for all design comments

* Verify design submission documents for compliance with the associated deliverables contract requirements, the GSA P-100, the agency OPR, and program budget and schedule constraints.

* Advise agency staff on interior design factors such as space planning layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color schemes and color coordination.

* Render design ideas in form of sketches, drawings or illustrations.

* Develop graphic components of a strategic communications package and create and implement graphic design concepts and appropriate creative solutions.

* Coordinate conceptualization, presentation materials output, detailing and artwork production. Make request for special lighting or additional structural support to the COR for artwork. Coordinate artwork display labels and document.

* Ability to review the Lessors architectural drawing submissions including schematic drawings, design development and design intent drawings.

* Develop and review design and furniture plan and specifications including documenting information and writing reports.

* Develop and maintain project progress reports and renovation schedules.

* Coordinating day-to-day site issues related to materials, labor and equipment utilization on large commercial projects.

* Provide technical assistance to internal team members and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed effortlessly.

* Provide excellent customer service to contractors, tenants, and government agencies to resolve issues and ensure agency satisfaction.

* Oversee furniture layouts and reuse plans for all FF&E

* Oversee development of scopes of work for new furniture procurements.

* Provide subject matter expertise on furniture renovations and relocations.

* Provide space planning services for office renovations and relocations for over 5,000 personnel into various buildings.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

* 10+ years interior design experience

* Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with contractors, tenants, and government agencies to resolve open issues providing excellent customer service and agency satisfaction.

* Ability to read/interpret design and construction drawings, specs, schematics, furniture installation plans and other documents.

* Must be organized, timely, and customer service oriented

* Must have extreme attention to detail.

* Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit required

* Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software preferred.

* LEED certification or experience preferred.

* Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.

* The ability to obtain and maintain a client specific Public Trust.

* You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
