Job description

We are seeking a passionate Catering Lead to join our operations and brand marketing team; a self-starter, a collaborator and driven individual to build our catering funnel, and help us grow our catering portfolio (off-premises sales channels), large group dining opportunities, and special events capabilities. This candidate will work closely with both the Head of Brand & Marketing, and the Head of Operations, and is perfect for someone who has an established network of contacts, is highly personable, driven, and customer focused. He/she can develop new relationships and drive new sales; and loves being able to assist guests through every detail of planning their perfect dining experience. The individual will be part of a growing team where being a team player is not only important but vital to the team s success.


Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively pursue building new business channels for the restaurant group's concepts, with a focus on catering to individual consumers (on and off premise catering), concentrating on serving institutions, workplace environments, and travel and tour opportunities
  • Actively develop and manage relationships with past, current, and future clients, local businesses, and other networking channels to successfully promote catering channels.
  • Manage and leverage tools we have, including EZCater, Tripleseat and Tock, to drive frequency of orders and return customers.
  • Provide consistently clear direction and timely communication of client needs to culinary and operations teams to ensure flawless execution of catering orders, private events, on-premises large group dining, and partial buyouts (as applicable) Manage all aspects of catering sales, from fielding inquiries, site visits as needed, and client meetings to developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and confirming payment.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant leads to identify and develop best practices for event execution for a stellar guest experience every time.
  • Collaborate on sales goals and strategies with the Heads of Marketing & Head of Operations
  • Work in partnership with the Heads of Marketing & Head of Operations to monitor & report on monthly and quarterly sales goals; evaluate progress against these goals to ensure short term and long-term success; share findings.
  • Ensure client deposits and payments are collected and closed out in a timely manner and that they are accurate.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties and take on other assignments and special projects as needed.
  • Answer assigned catering phone and respond to any voicemails, text messages, and emails in a timely manner.


***This is a full-time, salaried position, with some weekend and evening hours required***
