Position Description:

Dominion National, a rapidly growing and leading provider of dental and vision benefits has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Associate Full Stack Developer.

The Associate Full Stack Developer is responsible for developing and testing, both existing and new applications, proprietary and otherwise. Works with team of cross-trained programmers, as well as business side colleagues to develop specifications and implement projects. Mentors and aids team members as needed. Performs additional duties as assigned.



Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Designs and develops front-end and back-end components of web applications using .NET Core 3.1/.NET 5.0, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Collaborates closely with other developers to understand requirements, to design and deliver solutions using various technologies, takes into account critical performance characteristics, security measures and customer requirements.
  • Reviews and documents software failures and takes or recommends corrective action.
  • Ensures security and integrity of all systems and data.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve performance of existing applications/processes and implement.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

The minimum qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
  • 1+ years experience developing .NET applications in C# or similar object-oriented languages.
  • 1+ years of strong front-end skills in HTML/CSS and React for building modern and responsive user interfaces.
  • Experienced with SQL, RESTful APIs, good understanding of data structures and design patterns.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework and associated development technologies, particularly Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Entity Framework and LINQ.
  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Basic understanding of design patterns and principles, particularly Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
