JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the growth and retention of Synagros services base business within the Central Region (OH, KY, IN, MI, WV) through developing new business and cultivating and expanding current clients. Tasked with meeting sales goals, building and maintaining relationships, networking, and promoting our brand within the designated region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Directs the **selling activities** within designated territory, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions. Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with company objectives.

- **Identifies, defines and evaluates** markets and trends that affect current and future growth of territory sales and profitability.

- Formulate and execute plans to **acquire customers**, leverage opportunities and counter threats.

- **Analyze markets** by target segment and **develop growth strategies** to increase profitable market share.

- **Develop and maintain** strong relationships with current and future clients.

- Leverage product **knowledge** and services offerings to create sales strategies attractive to potential clients.

- Keeps informed of competitive offerings in the area, **formulates plans** for effective positioning against all threats.

- **Keeps informed** of new products, services and other general information of interest to clients.

- **Collaborates** closely with business partners (operations, engineering, technical services, sales support and legal) to **coordinate** execution of services.

- Assist in **proposal development**.

- Acts as internal **project champion** driving projects forward.

- Prepare and maintain monthly **sales forecasts**.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

- Demonstrates a **service-oriented customer focus** with proven experience in relationship building and providing quality customer experiences

- Strong **closing and negotiating** skills

- Must be an **articulate and fluent communicator**, written and verbal, and at ease with public speaking

- Demonstrated strong **interpersonal and relationship building and maintaining** skills

- Ability to rapidly **learn and retain** product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers

- **Computer literate** with knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRMs

- Superior **organizational and analytical** **skills** with keen attention to detail and quality

- Ability to **prioritize and multi-task** in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

- Must possess the ability to maintain flexibility to **travel**

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- **Bachelors degree** in business or related field

- **3+ years experience** selling value-based services (preferred: in the municipal or industrial water/wastewater treatment, environmental services, construction, energy or engineering industries)

- **Valid drivers licenses**

- **Safe driving** record: No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years or DWI/DUI in last 10 years

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

5. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to

bio-solids.

6. This position requires travel and overtime.
