**Job Description**

**Full-Time and Part-Time Temporary Painters**

**to work a period of 6-8 weeks, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm (Can be flexible with shift time)**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

* Performs a variety of work in the painting of the inside and outside of the building and grounds including reading work orders and checklists, receiving instructions from supervisor regarding painting, patching, finishing and removing old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting. Selects proper paint and finish prior to painting. Removes fixtures such as pictures and outlet covers from walls prior to painting. Spreads drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and covers surfaces such as baseboards, door frames, and windows to protect surfaces during painting. Applies paint with proper tools and techniques.

* Performs light carpentry work in repairing, replacing, and installing of cabinets, countertops, moldings, and wall decorations including reading work order and checklists, and receiving instructions from supervisor. Selects proper materials, supplies, and tools to complete tasks.

* Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work sites. Reports mechanical malfunctions to supervisor immediately.

* Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or Administrator.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* Possess a background and understanding of general maintenance, and past experience in this field.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.

* Must be flexible and willing to perform all requested duties.
