The Maven Group's client, located in Northern Virginia, has recently closed on additional funding and needs to grow.

They are adding a Facility Security Officer (FSO) with the experience to assist in the increased growth or the companies Federal business division. Some past experience setting up a companies security practice from scratch is what is needed!!! Been there, done it...can do it again!!

Position Title: FSO/ Security Officer

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Location: Virginia (Reston)

Active Top Secret clearance or higher

**Responsibilities:**

* Creates, manages and maintains documentation to include Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Action Plans.

* Develops and implements security documentation including program protection plans, SCIF/Closed area accreditation plans, and managed access plans.

* Performs access control responsibilities including managing badges and visit requests.

* Develops and administers a comprehensive Security Awareness Training Education program.

* Reviews and ensures maintenance of DD-254 forms and cleared resource security files.

* Submits adverse action reports to the Federal Government.

* Proactively develops and enhances processes as company and/or government guidance evolves.

* Protects classified government information and manages S/TS personnel security clearance and processes. Conducts initial and on-going security training and education briefings.

* Provides support and guidance for all security functions in accordance with the NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs and other applicable government security directives.

* Prepares visit authorization letters (VARs) and ECC forms.

* Develops and provides new cleared employee security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings.

* Investigates and reports security violations and incident reports.

* Maintains all security documentation and files in accordance with government requirements.

* Prepares necessary paperwork in support of federal government investigations or annual visits and meets with federal government representatives upon request.

**Skills:**

* 7+ years as FSO or similar role

* Past experience setting up a companys security practice from scratch

* Extensive knowledge of industrial security administration and government databases including, but not limited to: National Industrial Security System (NISS), NISP Central Access Information Security System (NCAISS), and Defense Industrial Security System (DISS).
