Position Summary
Vector Media is looking for an entry-level IT Support Specialist with strong technical, communication & organizational skills. In this role, you will provide technical support to internal staff, prioritize, and escalate helpdesk support requests to appropriate parties as well as create and maintain documentation detailing IT processes and solutions. This will be a fully remote role, working Pacific Time hours and travel may be required.

What Youll Bring:
  • A strong knowledge of OSX and Apple computer hardware.
  • At least 12 months of experience in a business tech support environment.
  • An understanding of basic networking concepts (Routing/Switching, VLANs, IP assignments, firewalls).
  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, etc.).
  • Familiar with Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office applications.
Note: Applicants are required to submit and answer to a technical question related to macOS.

What Youll Do:
  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software, dealing primarily with Apple Computers & macOS.
  • Troubleshoot issues for staff using an email ticketing system, phone & perform remote desktop support.
  • Perform hardware installations & maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance and assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Document recurring issues & any feature requests. Escalate advanced requests to other members of the department.
  • Create and maintain documentation for departmental & company-wide processes.
  • Assist with testing and implementation of new hardware & software.
  • Provide staff training on IT-provided services.
