CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an Employee-Owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company , is seeking an Employment Resource Coordinator for DOL TAP (Department of Labor Transition Assistance Program). Each year, an estimated 200,000 servicemen and women separate from the United States military; resulting in new Veterans returning to civilian life. The Employment Resource Coordinator supports Off Base Transition Training (OBTT) by coordinating employment workshops with state and local agencies as well as setting up events, presenting information briefs, conducting counseling sessions, marketing, and communicating with DOL and other interagency partners.In this role, you will:Assist in the creation and implementation of OBTT Memoranda of Agreement (MOA)Coordinate with MOA signatories to schedule and host brick and mortar OBTT workshops at select sites or support employment efforts to OBTT participantsCoordinate with other state and local stakeholders that desire to schedule and host brick and mortar OBTT workshops at select sitesCoordinate with state Adjutants General in pilot states to expand employment services provided to their membersCoordinate with state Directors of Veterans Affairs in pilot states to expand employment services provided to veterans being served by County Veteran Service OfficersRequired SkillsPossess comprehensive understanding of challenges facing the Transitioning Service Member population as it pertains to employment and economic opportunity.Knowledge of the civilian workplace, translating military skills/language, assessing job market, and researching/interpreting job requirementsThe ability to communicate effectively with military clients, be observant of others, comfortable with one -on-one engagements, and respond to enquiries independentlyExcellent time management skills and able to work independentlyBe proficient in MS Windows and OfficeAble to travel as neededRequired ExperienceRequired Experience:Experience which demonstrates understanding of private and public sector employment processesFive years of employment counseling or career counseling experiencePrevious experience which demonstrates an understanding of recruitment, hiring, and effective job-seeking skills in private and public sectorsKnowledge of military culture and experience working with military personnel is a plusRequired Education:Associate s degreeHigh School diploma and four years of experience working as a Workforce Solutions, Workforce Development, Career Counselor, Human Resources (HR) Specialist and/or experience in employment counseling, vocational counseling, guidance, placement counseling, rehabilitation counseling or educational counseling.CALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
