COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

* Muse Paintbar is a venue that combines acrylic painting instruction with a beer/wine bar & small restaurant.

+ We host 2.5 hour nightly events during which patrons will receive step-by-step instruction on a particular painting while socializing in a vibrant yet relaxing wine bar atmosphere. Check us out at www.MusePaintbar.com!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will vary depending on whether you are the "Assistant" or the "Cook " for the session. .

* As the cook, you will find our food operation is fairly basic. We have a combination of tapas style appetizers that we heat in convection ovens and cold plates (like cheese platters, hummus plates) that require some cutting . We also want the food to have a good presentation.

+ The time commitment for cook sessions is 3-3.5 hours , and some days (mostly weekends) have double sessions.

+ Additionally, it is the cooks responsibility to ensure food safety and the constant cleanliness of the kitchen. This requires a keen eye for detail and frequent wipe downs with disinfectant.

+ After each shift, the cook will clean the kitchen so its in top shape for the next use. This includes disinfecting all surfaces, ensuring that all kitchen and service tools are clean and sterilized, food is stored properly and all floors are free from debris and disinfected.

* When you're the assistant, you will be largely tending the beer and wine bar and helping the customers with their paintings.

+ The time commitment for each Lead/Assist session is between 4.5-5 hours, and some days (mostly weekends) have double sessions

+ Additionally, it is the assists responsibility to ensure the safety and the constant cleanliness of the bar. Attention to detail is a must and frequent wipe downs with disinfectant.

+ Throughout the session, and at the end of the session, the assist must make sure the bar is fully stocked for the next session.

* Given the changes in consumer movement and preferences with the recent COVID-19 pandemic, this general time commitments, outlined above, may change

* Must be punctual and reliable! Our kitchen and bar typically operate with only one cook, or assist, at a time. These are largely independent roles. The business relies on the cook/assist to be present to function efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience working in the food/restaurant industry

* Ability to maintain Health Department standards

* Easygoing and fun to work with

* Ability to be reliable and timely

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

* Continually required to stand and walk

* Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity

* Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl

* Continually required to talk or hear

* While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

* You will be required to wear gloves and a mask when working
